We can guide you carefully though every step of the process from the time we receive your instruction to offer on a house for you or from the moment you decide you wish to put your house on the market for sale. We do not offer an estate agency service but have been able to provide recommendation to numerous clients who have been more than happy with those recommendations. We also do not offer direct mortgage advice but, as with estate agency, we can recommend the services of Independent Financial Advisors who will assist with any mortgage application.

RE-MORTGAGE We are on the panel of all mainstream lenders and are able to assist with your re-mortgage

DISCHARGE OF YOUR CURRENT MORTGAGE If you have a letter from your lender advising that the security or charge on your house requires to be removed as you have paid off your mortgage, we can carry out that process for you

PURCHASE & SALE OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES AND BUSINESSES

As with residential property we offer a complete service to assist with the acquisition or disposal of shops, industrial units, offices etc. If you are thinking of putting your own premises into a SIPP (self invested pension plan) we have extensive experience of such transactions. We have also acted in the purchase and sale of many small to medium businesses.

LEASING

This area is also part of our core business. We have acted for countless clients over the years in the set up, renewal, and assignation of leases of commercial properties. We have acted for both landlords and tenants in this area of legal services.

It should be noted that we do not provide any advice relative to the letting of residential property.

LITIGATION

Established clients frequently become embroiled in disputes, commercial or otherwise. We offer a devolved litigation service in which we remain the direct contact with you for advice but refer any actual litigation process to other specialists. This devolved service works very well with the clients happy that we remain the conduit for resolution of the dispute. If actual litigation is not required we can provide guidance to resolve matters without the involvement of any third party

PERSONAL INJURY

We have experience in this area also and have achieved out-of-court settlements for numerous clients over the years. If you have sustained injury at work, a fall in the street, a road traffic injury  or any other fault-based accident, we can assist. If litigation is required and advised by us, the same devolved litigation service to which we refer above would apply. We remain in control of the case

PRIVATE CLIENT FAMILY LAW.

This again is a core area of our business. Preparing and producing wills and Powers of Attorney is something we carry out on a regular basis

ESTATE ADMINISTRATION (EXECUTRIES)

As we have acted for the same clients time and again in relation to all of the foregoing key areas, those clients turn to us for assistance with the administration of estates following a bereavement. This area of law can be highly complex and there are many misunderstandings of how it affects you. Early advice from us can assist and we attend to every aspect of ingathering the estate, attending to any tax to be paid, selling any property involved and ensuring the estate  is distributed either in terms of the will of the deceased or, if there is no will, according to the scheme laid down in law

MATRIMONIAL DISPUTES

We regularly advise clients when personal circumstances require our intervention. We can advise on divorce, separation agreements and, generally-speaking the resolution of the division of matrimonial property. We also incorporate agreed child care into separation agreements. If, however, there are disputes regarding residence of and contact with children (custody and access) we tend not to take instructions in those types of cases.
